Social Media Awareness/Safety

Putney Family Services proudly presents the following, free educational workshop:

Social Media Awareness and Safety November 4th , 6:00-7:00 pm at Putney Library can-stock-photo_csp13012314

Social media, apps, and the internet can be wonderful tools for learning, communication, and expression, but they can also be dangerous places for kids and teens to navigate on their own. In this special evening program, parents can get ahead of the curve by learning some tips, security features, and options to help keep their families safe online.  This class will not be a lesson on how to use any of the social media platforms or apps, but rather instruction on how to make use of their security features. Topics to be covered also include: online risks, cyberbullying, and what to do if a problem arises. Please RSVP to Putney Family Services at 387-2120.
